While some of the management recommendations discussed here are very specific to certain species, many of the recommendations can be applied to similar species. For example, the list of “Trade name of herbicides that contain toxic chemicals that affect neurological activity” in Coho Salmon and Steelhead Trout can be referenced when managing land near habitats for Chinook Salmon, which is another endangered salmon species. In addition, exclusionary fencing is an option for any land located near riparian habitats where species undergo seasonal periods of movement.
